Mouse P.I. for Hire Update 1.2.2 Released for Fixes via Patch 2.002.002

Fumi Games has released a new patch for Mouse P.I. for Hire on all platforms, and this brings a slew of gameplay and technical fixes to the action game.

Console gamers will see this download as Mouse P.I. for Hire update 2.002.002, and this applies progression fixes and a lot more.

Gameplay and Progression

  • Fixed some instances of side quests being unable to be completed when revisiting ‘River Fever Line’, where NPC’s show ongoing dialogue but quests would not register.

  • Fixed a progression issue where certain pipes could not be interacted with after players spoke with the Old Shrew NPC in ‘The Depths’.

  • Fixed an issue where players could jump over a fence and roam freely while the camera remained active in ‘Clergy Row’.

  • Fixed a pathfinding issue with Robo-Betty where the boss became permanently stuck in a running loop, allowing players to bypass the third encounter.

  • Fixed issues with the display shelf in Jack Pepper’s office failing to properly update after collectibles were picked up during Level Revisits.

  • Fixed a blocker where rapidly accepting newspaper popups could accidentally close the shop window and lock players out of the UI, requiring a game restart.

UI and Menus

  • Fixed incorrect positioning of the ‘Exit Level’ and ‘Exit Game’ options in the pause menu.

  • Fixed instances of the ‘Exit Level’ option not being selectable in the pause menu.

Controls and Input

  • Improved key rebinding functionality across all platforms and input methods, with all actions now able to be rebound (excluding the “Use” action on controllers, which shares an input with “Reload” and cannot be rebound due to hardware limitations).

UI and Menus

  • Fixed an issue where labels in the Motion Sensitivity screen were incorrectly cut off.

Stability and Crashes

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when picking up the “Letter to the Dame” in ‘MANGIA & MANGIA Secret Show’.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when rapidly entering and exiting the lockpicking minigame on any safe or locked door.

Controls and Input

  • Fixed an issue where Joy-Con haptics would not trigger when physically connected to the device in handheld or docked mode.

  • Fixed an issue where changes to mouse sensitivity would not work correctly when using Mouse Mode.
