If you were just kicked from your online match, or were hoping to get some late night playtime with Overwatch 2, we got some bad news for you as the servers have been taken offline. That’s right, Overwatch 2 is down for some emergency maintenance this October 10 (October 11 for those outside of the US).

Update: While the emergency maintenance is complete, Blizzard has confirmed that they are experiencing another DDoS attack! Check out the two new announcements posted:

We are currently performing emergency maintenance for the next hour. During this time, the game will be unavailable for play.
Bummer! We hope this downtime isn’t too long, though we wouldn’t be against it if it meant it came with a patch that addresses a number of ongoing issues, including the Xbox achievement crashes, and more. Guess we’ll find out soon! We’ll be sure to keep you updated once the servers go up, or should there be any unexpected extended downtime.
