It’s now been a month since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and its battle royale game mode, Warzone 2.0, have been released. And just like the previous Warzone BR, this new COD entry appears to have slide canceling, too. Keyboard and Mouse

To slide cancel with a keyboard and mouse, you’ll need to bind a specific keybind to your mouse or keyboard first. It’s called “Change Stance/Slide,” and vhye recommends replacing your crouch keybind with this instead. The Change Stance/Slide keybind changes your action depending on whether you’re sprinting or not, as well as whether you’re tapping or holding the corresponding button. Once you’ve set that keybind up to your preferred key, you can follow these next steps:

• Hold the Change Stance/Slide keybind. You want to be holding this the entire time you’re doing the slide cancel.
• Jump forward while holding the Change Stance/Slide keybind. This will cause you to slide right after the jump.
• As your feet touch the ground, jump again. This should result in a successful slide cancel.

Controller

Slide canceling with a controller is incredibly simple. In fact, you won’t need any sort of third-party tools or software to pull it off in a live game. vhye uses R3 as his keybind for crouching in the video, so keep that in mind. Essentially, here’s how you pull it off:

• Hold down your crouch keybind. If you haven’t set it to R3, hold down whichever button you’re currently using for the action.
• While holding down crouch, jump forward. This should cause you to slide after the jump.
• Just as your feet hit the ground, jump again. If done right, you should pull off the slide cancel.

Because of the controversy surrounding slide canceling, it’s highly likely that Infinity Ward will patch this out soon.
