Maybe one day we will get new adventures starring Nathan Drake or one of his Uncharted companions. For now, however, the character has unexpectedly appeared in a very different way, after a survival horror game was found using artwork that closely resembles the famous Naughty Dog protagonist.

A new survival horror game called 28 Floors: Outbreak has come under fire after using an image that closely resembles Nathan Drake from Uncharted in its promotional artwork. After the issue was noticed, the studio appears to have changed the art in an attempt to avoid further trouble.

The title, developed by Witenovastudio, was being promoted on PlayStation Network with artwork that clearly looked like Drake’s appearance from Uncharted 4, even though the game itself has nothing to do with Naughty Dog’s series.

Following the backlash, the studio has now updated the official artwork. It no longer appears to be a direct copy of Nathan Drake’s image, which seems to be an attempt to avoid possible legal issues.

What makes the situation more surprising is that the new screenshots shown for 28 Floors: Outbreak look very polished despite the earlier image controversy.

The game is currently planned for release in 2027 on PS5 and PS4 and, despite Sony’s recent efforts to remove low-quality shovelware titles, it has not been caught up in that cleanup.
