UPDATE: Well, it looks like the game won’t feature any Multiplayer which means we won’t be covering it anymore. SEGA released a PR statement stating that the XBL description was an error and has since been corrected.

“There was an error in reporting earlier today about a feature of the game stating multiplayer and co-op features for Alien: Isolation. There will be no help, no solace, no escape from the Universe’s deadliest killer. Please let us know if you’d like to discuss further.”

ORIGINAL STORY: After appearing yesterday on the XBL Marketplace, today SEGA and Creative Assembly is proud to announce, Alien: Isolation.

From what’s been shown, it looks astounding and getting rid of the gun is definitely the right direction for this game. It is said the game will feature 4 player-co-op along with a 4 player competitive round. It’ll be interesting to see how that’s handled, considering that the gameplay is moving towards that of Outlast, or Amnesia, Slender Man. We’ll keep you posted as more multiplayer news develops.

The game is slated to release late this year.
