ARK: Survival Ascended to Exclusively Use Nitrado Technology for Game Servers

Ark Survival Ascended Update 1.039.018

The still very secretive remake of ARK: Survival Evolved has shared a new and interesting bit of info with an eager community. ARK: Survival Ascended is going to exclusively use Nitrado technology to power its game servers, developer Studio Wildcard has announced today.

According to the press release, this isn’t the first time that the two companies are cooperating; they have worked together for nearly a decade, with the hopes of this collaboration taking it to the next level:

Nitrado will provide know-how and funding for the development of ARK: Survival Ascended as well as access to Nitrado’s top-notch server tools. This includes (but is not limited to) an enhanced mod experience with Overwolf integration, unrivaled SteelShield® DDoS Protection, and unparalleled server support.

Nitrado is also the only official commercial provider of rented game servers, but player-hosted servers will still be possible in ARK: Survival Ascended on PC.

ARK: Survival Ascended is slated to release during Q3 2023, but this remake of the original and colossally successful open-world survival game with dinosaurs is keeping to itself. The true sequel, ARK 2, featuring the likenesses and voices of Vin Diesel and Auli’i Cravalho was delayed to 2024.
