Battlefield Currency Pricing Changes to Take Effect on June 1 Due to “Current Global Economic Fluctuations”

Battlefield Currency Pricing Changes

If you’re the type of Battlefield gamer that buys in-game items such as cosmetics and the like, you’ll be seeing changes to the pricing soon. EA has announced the Battlefield Currency (BFC) changes are taking effect this June 1, 2023.

Per EA, there will be no impacts to full game prices of Battlefield 2042. The changes are part of a decision by EA to adjust pricing for live service purchases after evaluating their exposure to current global economic fluctuations.

According to EA, adjustments are being made across countries where Battlefield Currency is available to purchase globally. Many are seeing no change, some are seeing increases, and others will see price reductions, and this — EA claims — is the company’s approach to balancing pricing regardless of currency.

In other Battlefield news, DICE has talked about some of the changes coming to Season 5, and these include adjustments to specialists’ Irish and Dozer, vehicle loadouts, and more.
