As if the Call of Duty hype train needed more boosting, Activision has today announced that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War alpha that concluded earlier this month was the most downloaded alpha or beta in Call of Duty history!

This was announced by the official Call of Duty account today with a short but sweet trailer:

Thanks to our players for making last week’s #BlackOpsColdWar Alpha the most downloaded PS4 alpha or beta in Call of Duty history.

Given the hype surrounding Black Ops Cold War, I suspect the upcoming beta will shatter the alpha’s record soon.
