With news of the install size for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War being revealed earlier today, to no one’s surprise, it seems that players can also expect an additional Black Ops Cold War day one update at launch.

The good news? Well, according to our internal tracker, this update only weighs in at 11.8GB. There are currently no known details as to what this update does, nor do we expect to hear anything about it until next week when the game will be available.

In all consideration, when compared to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 this is a pretty small update. The last Modern Warfare update clocked in at just only 20GB on the PS4, though prior ones have been more considerably larger.

In related news, for those interested, down below you’ll find the time when you can expect to pre-load Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War along with it’s size and respective platform. Note that the above update release will be included in the initial pre-load, size may differ from below upon start date. For those who are purchasing a physical copy, this update will be waiting for you once you insert the disc and connect to the network.

For those curious, here’s the pre-load dates for Black Ops Cold War on each platform. Note that the day one update shouldn’t be part of the pre-load.

PlayStation® 4: Pre-loading will be available on November 5th at 9 PM. PT.

Xbox One: Pre-loading will be available on November 5th at 9 PM. PT.

PC: Pre-loading will be available on November 10th at 10AM PT.

Next Generation Consoles: Pre-loading will be available on their respective launch dates (November 10th for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, November 12th for PlayStation 5).

If you purchased a digital version of the game, but it is not downloading during the pre-load period, visit your platform’s respective first-party store and follow the prompts to begin the download. Ensure your console is also updated to the latest firmware before attempting to pre-load the game.

On PC, Black Ops Cold War can be found under “Partner Games” in the Battle.net launcher.

Once we know of more specifics for the BlackOps Cold War day one update, we’ll let our readers know.
