Black Ops Cold War R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow Out Tomorrow, Refunds for Bundles & Challenge Progression Detailed

Black Ops Cold War R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow

If you’re one of the many people who bought Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow bundle when the weapon was prematurely available in the store, Treyarch has announced that the weapon will officially be out tomorrow! In addition to that, the studio clarified what will happen to those who went after in-game challenges for the weapon.

The R1 Shadowhunter crossbow arrives tomorrow with updated weapon camo requirements!

Players will retain any progress they’ve already earned toward the unlock challenge, and those who completed it early will start at 14/15 match completions for a streamlined unlock process.

Here’s the exact description of what will happen (via Black Ops Cold War’s Trello board):

R1 Shadowhunter: Unlock and Progression Update

Description

Unlock Progress: Players who previously unlocked the R1 Shadowhunter will be placed at 14 / 15 match completions due to technical limitations with player inventories. This compromise will allow us to adjust inventories appropriately and establish a path of least resistance to obtain the R1 Shadowhunter when it is ready at a later date. Players who began the unlock process, but did not obtain the R1 Shadowhunter, will retain their previous challenge progress.

Camo Progress: Players who previously unlocked the R1 Shadowhunter will retain their camo progress.

Well, there you have it, people. At least that’s sorted out, and challenges won’t reset. As for gameplay-related changes, Treyarch is planning to roll out a weapon tuning update with the mid-season refresh for Season 2.
