Black Ops Cold War Update 1.040 Sneaks Out

Black Ops Cold War Update 1.040

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War update 1.040 has been released on all platforms by Treyarch, and this is another unannounced patch that doesn’t seem to bring anything tangible to the table. Read on for what’s new in the patch notes.

Black Ops Cold War Update 1.040 Patch Notes:

Size: 39GB. 2.3GB (Steam), 5.9GB (Xbox)

So far, Treyarch has not made any mention of the patch notes or even acknowledge the update. Some Reddit members of the Black Ops Cold War subreddit states that this added new Modern Warfare 3 banners (you got to have that cross-marketing, right?), while others state that this is to add bundles in the in-game store.

The latest update from the Call of Duty Updates Twitter account mentions a matchmaking fix for Warzone and that’s it.

Bear in mind, the update could very well be tied to security, which was the reason for last month’s Black Ops Cold War patch.

Once we find more about the patch, we’ll let our readers know. If you spot any changes, leave a comment below and let us know.
