It looks like Treyarch is following Infinity Ward’s route when it comes to rolling out major game updates for Call of Duty titles. The Black Ops Cold War update 1.11 patch is live now, though only as a pre-load (you can’t really access the content itself yet) on the PS4 (not on PS5).
Black Ops Cold War Update 1.11 Patch Notes:
The official patch notes for the title update has not been revealed yet, though Treyarch has announced that it will include the following:
The main Easter Egg quest in #FirebaseZ will be disabled at launch until 9AM PT / 12PM ET / 5PM GMT Friday, Feb. 5 to make sure everyone can start the hunt on equal footing.

You can check out the Firebase Z trailer right here to know what’s coming for Zombies fans tomorrow.
YouTuber TheGamingRevolution confirmed this on Twitter as well today, and mentioned that the file is 9GB in total, which isn’t bad at all.
Deleted the tweet for clarity. The pre-download for the Black Ops Cold War 1.11 Update is live now on PS4 (not yet on PS5). I’m not sure about the other platforms. Should be okay as long as PC doesn’t get to pre-download and datamines everything. pic.twitter.com/Cu0dzMQpRz

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans should be familiar with how Infinity Ward released patches on the PS4, which is by having it available earlier than the official launch date. Usually, this is done in batches and doesn’t apply to everyone who has the game. That said, if you own Black Ops Cold War on PS4, manually check the file by hitting options on the Black Ops Cold War game tile, and “check for latest update/version.”
The official patch notes which should include any gameplay-related changes should be available tomorrow when the patch is officially live (and released on other platforms) at 11 p.m. PT (Feb. 3)/2 a.m. ET (Feb.4)/3 p.m. HKT (Feb. 4). If the studio releases it sooner, we’l lmake sure to let our readers know.
Chances are, we’ll be getting a boat load of datamined info, and once we know of any, we’ll make sure to let our readers know.
