Treyarch has released the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War update 1.25 patch this October 22, which is an unannounced title update! In addition to the patch, there is also double XP happening for the game, which is the first of the two triple-double weekends planned.

Black Ops Cold War Update 1.25 Patch Notes:

Treyarch has not acknowledged the patch just yet, which is not surprising. Once we get wind of what it does, we’ll be sure to update the post. The studio did announce a triple-double XP weekend (double XP for weapons, rank XP, and Battle Pass XP):

Chances are, this patch could very well be bug fixes for The Haunting Halloween event happening in the game now. If you’re not familiar with that, here’s what’s included for multiplayer, and Zombies mode:

Global:

• The Haunting Event (Oct. 19 – Nov. 2)
• New Event Reward Weapon: LAPA SMG
• New Limited-Time Bundles: Scream & Donnie Darko
• New Halloween Bundles: Ghost of War, Necro Queen, Disciple of Mayhem
• + More in-season, including the Hammer & Sickle Melee weapon

Multiplayer:

• New Map: Nuketown Halloween
• New Modes: Scream Deathmatch, Infected, Nuketown Halloween Prop Hunt
• New Feature: Scare Packages
• Multiplayer Event Challenges & Rewards

Zombies:

• Halloween Updates: Jack O’Lantern Drops, Pumpkin Heads, Scare Packages, and Spooky Soundtrack
• New Mode: Hallows’ Eve Outbreak
• Outbreak Survival added to Private and Solo
• Zombies Event Challenges & Rewards
