With the hype surrounding Call of Duty: WWII beginning to subside, many fans of the franchise are looking to Treyarch Studios to deliver something monumental with the Call of Duty 2018 release. There’s a lot of pressure on the team to deliver.
Treyarch Design Director David Vonderhaar took to Twitter to reflect on the work that his team is doing. He believes that Treyarch is “doing the best work of their lives.”

I was originally hired on 10/21/1996. It took a decade to get the chance to meaningfully influence the design of a game and another 10 years (and lots of help) to get good at it.

I am not even sure I go to work to make games anymore? I think I go because every single time we get a new crunchy challenge laid at our feet, I am humbled by how well our team responds when anyone else would #ragequit. I just want to be around people like that.

Hopefully it takes less than 10 years to get good at figuring out all the things I should be doing to help the design team and all of @Treyarch respond to those challenges while doing the best work of their lives.

In other Call of Duty news, the Domination XL game mode is coming at the end of March, and Sledgehammer Games has provided an update on when players can expect paint jobs.

Dont they say it every year?
CoD WW2 was hardly a great game. Just another CoD game as all the rest were. Nothing special.
If CoD Black Ops 4 takes the same route as CoD WW2… only kiddies will buy it. Adults will move on from CoD games.
