Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Teaser Drops Online: “The Truth Lies” Video and Leaked Image Surfaces
As we quickly approach Xbox’s Call of Duty showcase event happening during Summer Game Fest, we’ve found our hype building for the next title. While Activision has not officially confirmed what the next game will be, it’s been heavily rumored to be a continuation of Treyarch’s Black Ops franchise. With that in mind, the hype has skyrocketed today with the release of the first Black Ops 6 teaser, which hints at the game with a cryptic message: “The truth lies.”
Two teasers, which showed up on a quickly-uncovered teaser site, have already been shared across several Call of Duty accounts, including by CharlieIntel and more.

The first teaser is a real-life, POV perspective of several individuals sneaking into the Mount Rushmore National Memorial to cover the stone president’s faces with banners that read “the truth lies,” along with an orange wolf symbol that we saw on Xbox’s original announcement of their showcase. The second teaser is similar, with the vandals hanging propaganda posters of a blinded Mount Rushmore with the same slogan along a dimly-lit street before driving off.
What’s more, reputable leaker billbil-kun has shared a leaked image of what could potentially be the cover for the next Black Ops:

While the image is blurred, it’s easy to see that it features a military individual sitting in the iconic Black Ops pose with his forearms on his knees. This all but confirms the rumors that the next game in the franchise is part of Treyarch’s most popular series. It’s also likely a continuation of the story we saw in Black Ops: Cold War.
While little is currently known about the next game, it’s been heavily rumored that the full title will be Call of Duty: Black Ops: Gulf War. What’s more, the campaign will reportedly feature an open world setting much larger than anything we’ve seen previously from the franchise. While the Open Combat Missions introduced in Modern Warfare 3 weren’t our cup of tea, we have faith in Treyarch.
