Call of Duty: Vanguard Artwork, Different Editions Spotted in BOCW Season 5 Data; Confirms WW2 Setting & Open Beta
Following the early leaks of Call of Duty 2021, it seems more info and images have surfaced, and this time, it’s from Black Ops Cold War’s Season 5 data files! First off, it seems the official title of the game will indeed be Call of Duty: Vanguard, which was earlier rumored to be a codename.
In addition to the name, the setting of the game is indeed World War 2 as previously rumored as well. There’s also going to be an open beta early access for those who purchase the “Ultimate Edition.” Another thing confirmed, and which isn’t surprising is, next-gen upgrade from PS4 to PS5/Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S won’t be free, as there’s also a mention of a “Cross-Gen Bundle.” Currently, there are three different editions available, and they are the Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Bundle, and the Ultimate Edition.
The images were shared by notable Call of Duty leaker The Cheeseburger Boys, though which has since been copyright claimed by Activision. However, there are images out in the wild uploaded by the community (Imgur link)! We’ve decided not to host the images on the site given the previous takedown notice from Activision.

Best to hurry as these links will probably be taken down too.
To date, Activision has not officially confirmed Call of Duty: Vanguard or has mentioned anything about it other than confirming Sledgehammer Games is the developer spearheading development.
There is supposed to be an announcement incoming on August 19, so stay tuned!
Thanks, Okami!
