One of my favorite gaming moments over the past few years was meeting Jörmungandr for the first time in God of War 2018. I really hope we see more of the world serpent in God of War Ragnarok.

My favorite gaming moment in the last 25 years was that after years of not playing videogames (crash bandicoot warped being the last one) I came back and finished mgs3 snake eater, afterwards I realized that videogames can be art and brought me back to gaming again.

My absolute favorite gaming moment of the last 25 years was in Spider-Man ps4 (which I’m sure will annoy many people). I’ve been such a big Spider-Man fan my entire life and I feel like there have been fun games, yet the character was never done proper justice in the medium. But, that all changed in the moment at the very beginning of the game when Peter is getting his suit on in his apartment and jumps out. The way it transitions seamlessly into gameplay with that music and the visuals of the helicopters heading towards Fisk tower, my god!!!That whole intro was incredible. I just love how perfectly it set up that world’s Spider-Man and how it was even setting up the friendship/mentorship with doc ock on the phone call. The point is, that game was just incredible. The intro itself was enough to make me feel like a kid again experiencing the best Spider-Man game we’ve ever got (miles is fantastic too!).

When Deacon reunites with Sarah who he thought was dead. That moment left me speechless. I never had that kind of connection with a game until I played Days Gone. Loved every second of it.

I would have to say my favourite memory is actually Crash related! 😉 Back as a kid before I had my own PlayStation system anytime I went over to my one younger cousin’s house he would insist on us playing Crash Bandicoot. We’d take turns after each death needless to say I was pretty bad and got blown up by many a TNT crates. Still cousin would just shrug and say we’d get ’em next time. To this day it always makes me smile thinking back how chill he was especially at such a young age when others might of thrown tantrums.

My favorite memory of Crash Bandicoot is when I used to go to Circuit City and there was this one time where the original Crash Team Racing was on display. I played with some random customer there and we had fun before having to leave for the day. It was one of the first racing games I’ve ever played (besides Nintendo’s F-Zero). I think I was like 9 or 10 years old back then. Time sure flies.

Anyways, thanks for this giveaway!

Oh this is a tough one as there’s been so many great memories over the years. I’ll go with when I got my first DS Lite so I could play Phantom Hourglass where the highlight was truly screaming into the mic to get the cannon cheaper.

I don’t know if favorite but socking I’d say. I’m talking about the Kojima-Konami feud. On one side I’m happy he’s free to do whatever he wants now but I can’t help to wonder what will happen to the MGS franchise.

One of the gaming moments that comes to my mind right is a pretty recent one: the Cyberpunk 2077 launch day backlash. I can understand the frustration of the players after waiting for too long for the game but some went too far threatening the developers. It was wild. I hope it never happens again. My tale begins all the way back in early spring of 2002 when I spotted Dark Cloud on PS2 for under $15 at Target! Oh joyous day I thought as never seemed to luck out finding sales during those family shopping trips. Got home, started it up immediately even though I could only play for about a hour before I was supposed to go to bed for school the next morning. Within that first hour of being introduced to Toan & Norune Village I was hooked! My childlike naivety thought the thirst meter was genius! Even more so with the existence of the Mellow Banana that increased thirst cause let’s be honest banana’s are the driest fruit; who even truly likes them? I digress. Things were going good rebuilding Norune to the villagers exact specifications even if they were starting to seem a bit demanding. Finally comes time to fight Dran! I’ve prepared with upgraded weapons, a stockpile of tasty waters & bread. Spent over 2hrs trying to take him out! Majority of the floor was knocked out, stockpile practically diminished and weapons started to break. Repeat x10. Started multiple new save files but nope, nada, zip, zilch always just a never ending battle. Eventually I resigned myself to there must be a glitch with my disc, packed the game up and tried to not make eye contact with the case to avoid being taunted. Fast forward to 2015 when Sony listed it up on PSN. I abstained initially but that $5 sale kept calling my name. Eventually I bit the bullet, prayed to the Atlamillia that my experience with Dran back on PS2 was indeed due to a glitch not my ineptitude. FINALLY SUCCESS! It only took a decade plus to get to experience the story but I think the wait was worth it. Nostalgia plays a bit of a factor into why this silly ancedote has become my personal favorite moment in gaming.

Still not 100% sure why Toan is trying to emulate a pumpkin with his green cap & orange poncho look.

Final Fantasy XIV definitely is my favorite from the last 25 years. It’s been a real journey watching it originally launch as a steaming pile of bad to turn into the success it is now under Yoshi-P and team efforts. Don’t even get me started on how amazing Soken’s compositions have been. Absolute chefs kiss!

Still remember how I thought XIV would be a terrible experience as I didn’t have a friend group going in but that’s the joy of XIV you can easily make friends. At the very least find a group to run content with thanks to party finder.

There was a huge amount of gaming moments last 15 years that I can remember and share with. So it’s hard for me to choose just one. But probably it’s about Ori franchise. No spoilers here but the ending of the Will of the Wisps brought both joy and tears. It was so emotional. Marvellous game.

Really good question here. Well, let me think… I would love to pinpoint that very best moment in gaming for me, however, as far as gaming is concerned, the most satisfying thing for me would be discovering games and gaming in general. Not all people play video games as a hobby. And I am really glad and happy that I can do it for love and pure fun. Yeah, gaming has its downsides, but if you game responsibly it is a great way to vent out your frustration (in a good sense) with your everyday life, relax, find inner peace, broaden your horizon, learn new things, find new friends, immerse yourself in a captivating story etc. I started gaming about 20 years ago and at first I played only shooters. But then gradually I discovered and fell in love with other genres too: RPGs, action adventure games, visual novels, puzzlers, metroidvanias, racing games to name a few. There is a lot to gaming than non-gamers think. Each and every game is unique and deserves even a bit of attention and I thank gaming gods that they let me experience all those great moments in video games along with other gamers from around the world. twitter: @skozyrev83

I was very surprised when these games were released on Steam – Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilog and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, probably the most played games on the first console PSone by me, and then released in better quality and on the PC platform.

Favourite gaming moment in the last 25 years, you ask? Beg you pardon, but I’ll have to reminisce earlier than that. 30 years ago, more or less, happened the moment that defined me as a gamer ever since. I went to an arcade shop with my late father and although the games present there were pretty basic and unpretentious, I was absolutely mesmerised with everything what happened on-screen. Since then I owned quite a number of consoles, completed a ton of games, but I still remember that wonderful day as if it was yesterday. (@RageQuitGamer2 is my Twitter handle)
