Dead By Daylight 2: Behaviour Interactive Sees “No Reason” for It, Still “So Many Stories to Tell”

Dead By Daylight 2

For those waiting on Dead by Daylight 2 before jumping into the asymmetrical multiplayer game, you’re going to be waiting for a while, as it doesn’t seem like Behaviour Interactive has any plans to release a Dead by Daylight sequel anytime soon.

This was divulged to us by the devs themselves. Speaking to MP1st in an interview regarding the Alien crossover, Mathieu Côté, Head of Partnerships for Behaviour Interactive states that they see “no reason” for Dead by Daylight 2 for now.

MP1st: Given we’re still seeing massive support for the game, has Behaviour ever considered making Dead by Daylight 2? Or is it not necessary given the game’s live-service nature?

Côté: We want to focus on our core game and continue to expand. Dead by Daylight is not going anywhere, there’s still so many stories to tell and so there’s no reason for us to start a new one.

Stay tuned to our full interview hitting the site soon.

Would you want to see Behaviour Interactive announce a sequel to the game? Or is their strategy of releasing more and more content drops for it the better choice?

No point making another. It is long in the tooth and boring now. There are better games like TCM out now

Dead by DogShit 2? No thanks!
The first part was turned into an entertaining catch-up game without balance. It used to be just as beautiful a game. There was an atmosphere. Now I won’t recommend this piece to anyone!

It’s funny to me that people that liked the game only liked it when their preferred side had the advantage. It’s impossible to balance a 4v1 asymmetrical game, for a broad audience of new players and seasoned. As well as that there are different levels of game sense involved in there too. The only way to actually balance is to tip it in favor one way for a bit then the other. I love DBD even when it’s tipped against my favor, helps me learn to cope and continue enjoying the game trying new things. So many options! It sucks hearing people don’t like it when things don’t go there way, but to say it’s a shit game is a flat out lie. The game is addicting. I stopped playing COD and now it’s pretty much solely DBD. Just gotta get better by sticking with it through the great wins and hard losses. Don’t fold at the first frustrating game, and think about solutions to your problems. There is always a way!

DBD is a great game. If you don’t like it, quit your whining and leave.
