In a surprise announcement, Behaviour Interactive has teased the addition of beloved actor Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider, National Treasure) to Dead by Daylight. The exact details and duration of his feature have not yet been revealed, though the developer promises more will be revealed on July 5.

Cage channels a passive-aggressive confidence similar to his Ghost Rider portrayal in the teaser, though he will be featuring as himself in Dead by Daylight. Behaviour Interactive has not yet revealed whether or not the actor will be a Survivor or a Killer, or even playable at all. Regardless, the sheer detail in Cage’s showcased character model and motion capture performance makes it likely that his appearance in the game will be fairly large in scale.

More details on Dead by Daylight’s Nicolas Cage feature are set to be revealed July 5. In the meantime, Chapter 27 “Tools of Torment” of the game is playable now on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, featuring two new Survivors and a new Killer.
