Dead Space Remake Update Graphic Fix Live on PS5; Before and After Comparison

There’s a new Dead Space Remake patch available, and for those curious, it fixes a resolution/graphical bug that the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC versions were having. To give you a better idea of how much of an improvement this patch makes the game look, here’s a comparison of what Dead Space Remake looked like before and after the patch.

For those unaware, the Dead Space Remake on PS5 (as well as Xbox Series and PC) was suffering from a nasty graphical bug that made the game appear more blurry and pixelated than it should have been. While the issue didn’t affect everyone, several players (on Reddit), including us, noticed something about the remake almost immediately after playing it. Lucky for us, EA Motive eventually acknowledged the issue (so we weren’t all crazy!) and has issued a fix as of today. To better show off this fix, I have captured a couple of before and after images of the new patch.

Note that these screens are captured using the quality mode before and after the patch. As for the change in lighting, both images are captured with 100% brightness to show the issue better, so there is no difference in settings despite the lighting being changed and improved in the new patch.

Close-up comparison

Yeah, that is definitely looking a lot better now! For those who didn’t notice it or were unaffected, at the very least, you should now see that the lighting and black contrasts now appear to be improved, so there is a bit of something for you there.
