Those playing Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, you might be having issues logging in, as Destiny 2 down reports have surfaced this June 13, and this is something not intended by Bungie. Just for confirmation, both Destiny games are having issues connecting, and some players are saying they are able to log in, but cannot do anything (or getting kicked back to orbit).
Update (June 14): Those seeking updates for today’s Destiny 2 servers, maintenance has been trigged by Bungie for a patch! Read up on its status and updates here.

Some have said that they are able to get into a server, though you can’t do anything since you get kicked into orbit if you initiate an activity (which means it’s actually down since it’s not playable).
Bungie has made an announcement regarding this downtime:

This might be tied into today’s background maintenance, which is still on-going:
Destiny 2 background maintenance has begun. No downtime is expected. Maintenance is scheduled to conclude at 2 PM PDT (2100 UTC).
