Destiny 2 The Witch Queen PS4 Preload Unavailable, Set to Go Live Later Today (Update)

destiny 2 the witch queen ps4 preload

PlayStation 4 players get shafted once again, as it would appear that Destiny 2 The Witch Queen PS4 preload is still unavailable at this moment, with Bungie stating that it will go live during the the weekly reset. This means that players on the platform will be unable to preload the game, and that once The Witch Queen update goes live PS4 players will not be able to dive in immediately.

The report comes from the Bungie Help Twitter account, where it states:

Due to an unforeseen issue, PS4 Required Content is not yet available for download. Players using the PS4 version of Destiny 2 can download these files at 9 AM PST tomorrow when Update 4.0.0.1 becomes available.

All Required Content is ~72 GB total.

Stay tuned for updates.

With the required preload content for PS4 coming in at 72 GB, it’s well worth inferring that PS4 players will have to wait hours before they could play Destiny 2 The Witch Queen, way later than other platforms. That said, here’s hoping the issue gets resolved sooner rather than later, so stay tuned here at MP1st for updates on this once we have them.

UPDATE: PS4 players can now get into the game, where Bungie mentuons that they should download the rest of The Witch Queen while in queue:
