Destiny 2 Update 1.056

Bungie has released Destiny 2 update 1.056 on all platforms, and this is for hotfix version 6.2.0.1! Given we just got the patch for Season 18 this Tuesday, don’t expect any new content outside of fixes. Read on for the Destiny 2 August 25 (Aug. 26 for those no in the US) patch notes.

Destiny 2 Update 1.056 Patch Notes | Destiny 2 August 25 Patch Notes:

Size: 268MB (PlayStation), 799MB (Xbox Series X|S), 95MB (PC – Steam)

Update #: Bungie has finally released the official patch notes!

  • Fixed an issue where the Quicksilver Storm Exotic Auto Rifle could be obtained with a Power level of 0.
  • Fixed a server issue that could cause a delay in rewards arriving in a player’s inventory.

For now, Bungie has not shared the official patch notes just yet, but here are the issues acknowledged by the official Bungie Support Twitter account (these are from multiple tweets, and we’ve compiled them into text format for an easier read):

Due to an issue, we have disabled the Quicksilver Storm Exotic Auto Rifle in all raids and dungeons.

We are currently investigating Arc subclasses not receiving correct resilience-based damage reduction in PvE for Warlocks and Titans

We’re investigating an issues where the The Form of The Danger Exotic quest for the Delicate Tomb Exotic Fusion Rifle catalyst doesn’t obtain progress from completing playlist activities.

Due to Heavy Grenade Launchers doing more damage than intended, all non-sunset Heavy Grenade Launchers have been disabled, excluding:

– Salvation’s Grip
– Parasite
– Uncommon Rarity Heavy Grenade Launchers

Players who can’t acquire Umbral Energy from the Season Pass must
1️⃣ Complete ‘Salvage and Salvation’ in the HELM
2️⃣ Speak to Spider
3️⃣ Complete the Ahoy and Aweigh quest
4️⃣ Visit the Star Chart in the HELM
5️⃣ Acquire the Sails of the Shipstealer and Captain’s Atlas quests

Due to an issue, we have disabled the Icefall Mantle Exotic Titan gauntlets.

While we investigate progress delays for the Ahoy and Aweigh quest, a potential workaround to obtain progress for the Ketchcrash activity is to wait until the Scoreboard appears and the Activity timer returns you to Orbit.

We are currently investigating delays in reward drops in certain activities.

This issue may also cause quest progress to be delayed.

As you can see, there’s quite a handful of issues that’s plaguing players now. Once the official patch notes are out, we’ll update the post.

Update: Bungie has released the official patch notes and we’ve updated the article.
