Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Expansion Sells 2.7 Million Copies In A Week

Players throughout the world of Sanctuary have pretty much agree that the long awaited Reaper Of Souls expansion is what Diablo 3 desperately needed to make it the enjoyable experience it should’ve been when it first launched back in 2012.

It also appears that the launch of Reaper Of Souls, adding a new character class, higher level cap, and much more content, is not only good for Diablo 3 players, but for its developer, Blizzard, as well. Recently, the studio released some staggering numbers regarding the expansion’s first week in sales in a recent press release

“Malthael claimed that no one could stop Death . . . actually, Diablo® III players have already stopped Death more than 1.5 million times and counting. On March 25, players the world over launched a crusade against the fallen angel with the release of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls™ for Windows® and Mac®. As of the first week of the expansion’s availability, more than 2.7 million copies have sold-through online and at retailers worldwide.”

Currently, Reaper Of Souls is scheduled to arrive on the PlayStation 4 alongside the Ultimate Evil edition that have yet to receive release dates. Additionally, Blizzard has also stated that a Xbox One version of Diablo 3 is in development, though an actual release on the platform has been unconfirmed.
