Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that Diablo 4 (which just released today) has already become its fastest-selling game of all time, with the highest pre-launch unit sales of any Blizzard game on PC and console platforms. Additionally, the developer also revealed that the game has already accrued over 93 million hours’ worth of playtime since its early access period began on June 1.

In its March beta sessions, the hugely-popular sequel to Diablo 3 had already managed to accumulate over 61.5 million hours’ worth of playtime. Those who pre-ordered the game received early access days prior to release on June 1, and it appears an unprecedented number of fans chose to pre-order the game as the stats reveal a total playtime of over 93 million hours across all platforms.
As such, Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that Diablo 4 is officially its fastest-selling game of all time, and most of those sales appear to have come from the pre-launch period as it is also Blizzard’s best-selling game in terms of pre-launch sales on both PC and consoles.
