Diablo 4 Player Trading Suspended Due to Gold and Item Duplication Exploit (Update)

Diablo 4 Player Trading

If you’re wondering why you suddenly can’t engage in trades in Diablo 4, it’s not just you. Blizzard has announced that Diablo 4 player trading has been suspended until further notice, and it’s due to an on-going exploit.

This announcement was made on the Blizzard forums, where an official statement was made that specifically mentioned that the gold and item duplication exploit is the main reason for this feature to be stopped in its tracks for the time being.

We’ve suspended player trading in Diablo IV until further notice due to a gold and item duplication exploit. We are working on a fix to amend this issue and will update you once we’ve reinstated the ability to trade. Once that is done, we will continue to monitor this activity to ensure a healthy playing experience for all. As always, any account that engages in gold and item duplication exploits will be actioned in accordance with our End User License Agreement.

We thank you for reporting this exploit to us and your patience.

No word yet on when we’ll see it reinstated, but chances are, it won’t take long and it will most likely be patched via server update. If the devs release a new update (be it client-side or via servers), we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Speaking of patches, you can keep track of every game update released by bookmarking our Diablo 4 game hub.

Update (August 15): Blizzard has re-enabled trading after a backend fix was issued to address the exploit (per PezRadar)

Good, that’s the main reason i stopped playing Diablo 3 because of item duplication exploits and players with modded inventory because they use jailbroke software like Save Wizards and have Op characters with unrealistic dps and one hit every enemy.
