Last month, Battlefield publisher EA mentioned in its quarterly earnings report that not only were they planning to release the new Battlefield game before March 2026, but that its global reveal would happen sometime in the summer.

We are officially in the summer season in the US, and so far, EA hasn’t said anything about the new Battlefield game, which some have dubbed as Battlefield 6 since the publisher hasn’t even given us a title.

If you’re like me, you probably expected the game to be revealed at Sumemr Game Fest alongside the other announcements, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

EA Confirms New Battlefield Game Still on Track for Summer Reveal

Andy McNamara, the Global Senior Director of Integrated Comms for Battlefield Studios, quelled fan concerns when he was asked on X (formerly Twitter) whether the game will still be revealed in June. While not outright confirming or denying if the game is going to get revealed this month, McNamara did say, “The community will know when the reveal is coming. We are focused on Labs and preparing for the reveal this summer.”

At the very least, we can expect the new Battlefield game to be revealed sometime before the end of September, which marks the end of summer in the US. With Summer Game Fest now out of the picture, EA could hold its own event for the Battlefield reveal or perhaps we’ll hear about it at Gamescom, which kicks of this August (and is still part of summer).. For the sake of Battlefield fans everywhere, we’re hoping it gets revealed soon.

For now, fans will have to contend with leaked gameplay footage that has not failed to impress. Based on what we’ve seen from the pre-alpha gameplay from Battlefield Labs, DICE is o the right track with the new entry in the franchise — which is good to see given that Battlefield 2042 was deemed underwhelming by the majority of the Battlefield player base given its focus on Specialists, AI teammates and lack of environmental destructibility.

Once we have more info about Battlefield 6 or whatever it’s called, you’ll see it on the site.
