EA UFC 5 Gameplay and Features Strikes Out, Frostbite Showcases Amazing Visuals

EA UFC 5 Gameplay

EA has delivered today our first look at UFC 5 gameplay, and this four-minute look also showcases some of the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) game’s new features, as well as the amazing visuals.

Powered by EA’s own Frostbite engine, the game’s graphics look amazingly lifelike. Don’t believe me? Give it a watch below.

EA UFC 5 Features:

Real Impact System – What makes an MMA fight? It’s the stakes, technique, drama, and pure reality of the moment. UFC 5 captures that in more authentic detail than ever before, from next-generation graphics upgrades that give gameplay animations new life, damage systems that marry the brutality and strategy of the fight game, gameplay updates that make the action feel even more fluid and realistic, and much more.

All-New Doctor’s Checks and Stoppages – In UFC 5, if your fighter takes serious damage, the referee will call in the doctor to check whether your fighter can continue the match or not.

Seamless Submissions System – The Seamless Submission System removes the mini games completely and functions as an extension of the overall ground game. This delivers a much faster and far more intuitive experience.

Cinematic KO Replays – Part of the game’s presentation updates, players will be able to re-watch their finishing blows in stunning visual fidelity. Super slow motion finishes with all the cinematic camera angles and lighting will turn your knockout into a work of art.

Referee Interactions – Improved interactions with the referee in ground and pound stoppages,

Online Draws – Added the ability to go to to a draw on judge’s scorecards in online play.

Fight Week – All-new series of features and challenges sync with real world fight events that bring more content and rewards.

Career Mode – Offers an all-new intro, with new cinematics, locations and refined focus on onboarding.

HAHAHA “amazing visuals”. Looks like more garbage Frostbite to me and yet another genre ruined by a bland game engine it was never designed for. This must be coming to PS3 too right?

Imagine the jump this could have made to current gen had they upgraded their amazing Impact engine again. Except, now everything is streamlined and downgraded, EA does it again.
