Following its presentation at the recently concluded Tokyo Game Show 2022, FromSoftware has announced that Elden Ring has officially gone gold, meaning that its core development is now complete and the game is ready for mass production.

Elden Ring going gold was announced by FromSoftware’s Yasuhiro Kitao in the Tokyo Game Show 2022 presentation for Elden Ring. He says:

“Development is going smoothly. Elden Ring was originally slated for release in January of this year, and it has been pushed back once to February. But please be assured, the title will be ready for sale on February 25. The master version has already been submitted, and right now, the team is working on a day one patch to make sure everything in the game is just so.”

There you have it. It’s also worth noting that despite the game’s status, there will appear to be a Day One patch for Elden Ring, although at the time of writing we don’t know how big it will be on PC and consoles.

Elden Ring is releasing on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on February 25.
