Elden Ring Has “Several More Things” Incoming, Miyazaki Hints at More FromSoftware Projects

Elden Ring Update

Elden Ring’s had a good run in 2022, with the FromSoftware game winning multiple awards during The Game Awards 2022, including Game of the Year. During his acceptance speech, Hidetaka Miyazaki thanked his co-workers and fans, but he also hinted at more things to come in Elden Ring and beyond.

“As for Elden Ring, we still have several more things we want to do, so getting this GOTY Award really, really encourages us,” said the director. The game just received its free Colosseum update a few days ago, and with more plans for Elden Ring in the future, it looks like the game still has quite a few updates to go, and perhaps this could pertain to a full-fledged DLC drop?

Miyazaki also claimed in his speech that he’s decided to make games that top even Elden Ring, stating “I have made up my mind to create even more interesting games than this one.” While he didn’t mention anything specific, knowing Miyazaki, we could be in for quite a surprise the next time FromSoft releases something he directed.

It’s worth noting that the long-awaited Armored Core 6 was also mentioned at The Game Awards, which is also being developed by FromSoft, but Miyazaki isn’t the current director of the project. Instead, the game is handled by Masaru Yamamura, who worked on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
