Meta’s social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram, are both having issues this December 11. Downdetector has seen a massive uptick of reports from people:

The outage has also affected Facebook Messenger, with people reporting how their accounts have automatically been signed out.  Note that the issues affecting people seems to a worldwide issue, and not just the US.  On the Meta status website, it lists  various facets as having “major disruptions.”
