Ahead of the February 21 release date, Mundfish founder and Game Director Robert Bagratuni has now revealed the final Atomic Heart PC system requirements. The game is not particularly demanding: a 1080p at 60fps (frames-per-second) experience can be achieved with an i5-6500 CPU and GTX 1060 GPU at low settings, while those seeking the greatest visual marvels the game has to offer can enjoy 4K at 60fps with an i7-8700K CPU and RTX 3080 GPU.

Bagratuni is particularly proud of Atomic Heart’s performance optimization: he revealed in January that the game handles 4K at 60fps or more throughout (dynamic resolution in the open world) on PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, while the Xbox Series S version of the game targets 60fps at 1080p instead. He also claims that all target framerates are based on the game’s most demanding scenarios, and that a GTX 1650 with a targeted 60fps at 1080p will render as high as 100fps in most locations. The console versions do not currently support ray tracing, but Bagratuni has left the door open for the technology to be added in the future.
Atomic Heart goes live on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on February 21, 2023.
