A mere week after its release, Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy 16 has surpassed 3 million in sales. This includes both digital and physical sales.
Square Enix announced the figures via a Twitter post:
We’re delighted to announce we’ve shipped and digitally sold 3 million copies of Final Fantasy XVI on PlayStation 5. Thank you for your support!

Final Fantasy 16 was largely well-received by reviewers and critics alike. It scored a 9.5/10 in our review of the game. While Final Fantasy 16 sales figures are largely impressive, it fails to match its predecessor, Final Fantasy 15, which surpassed 5 million sales in one week.
The two million difference is probably due to the fact that Final Fantasy 15 was released on multiple platforms with a larger install base, while Final Fantasy 16 launched exclusively for the PS5.
