Former PlayStation-Exclusive MLB The Show 21 Will Be Available on Game Pass Day One

MLB The Show 21 Update 1.18

While a Sony-developed game being available on Xbox platforms is already a bit of a weird thing in of itself, it looks like it’s about to get weirded. MLB The Show 21, which is being developed by Sony-owned San Diego Studios, will have the game available on Game Pass on day one of its availability!

This was announced by Microsoft with a brand new trailer even!

We’re delighted to announce that MLB The Show 21 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one and will be available on April 20 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as well as on Android phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) for Ultimate membersBoth MLB The Show 21 Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S Standard Editions will be included with Xbox Game Pass so members will be able to play the best version of the game regardless of which console they’re on. And with cross-platform play and progress, you can play against others online, and earn and use content across the platform and generation you choose.

Yep, that’s a PlayStation logo that you’ll see before you play that game on an Xbox console. Mind, this means more money for Sony as well, given they are the studio behind it, but still, it’s weird, no?

MLB The Show will be out on PlayStation and Xbox platforms on April 20.
