Fortnite Down and Modes Not Loading on April 2
[summaraize]
Just a few days after the Fortnite servers encountered issues, the game is suffering from another outage on April 2 (April 3 for those outside the US). Players are reporting that Fortnite is down, with modes not appearing for players.
This means that players can’t find matches, and whatever Epic Games did before, it didn’t take.
Fortnite Game Modes Having Issues Again (Update)
Update #2: Epic Games has confirmed that everything should be back in full operation.
Update: Epic Games has acknowledged the lobby outage and are working on it. Epic states, “Our team is investigating a similar issue with the Discover lobby not loading for players to select and queue for game.”
Due the outage, the NAW Divisional event has been delayed by an hour.
Original Story:
Reports on Downdetector have started pouring in recently, with users numbering over 3,000 who have claimed outage issues. This outage is affecting gamers on multiple platforms, so it’s not just one online service that’s out. So far, Epic Games has yet to acknowledge these issues. The last update on their status page states that they’re investigating crashes relating to NVIDIA GPUs when using DirectX 12 rendering.
Chances are, the developers will provide an update soon, though don’t expect it to be resolved quickly, as the last one took a few hours before things got back to norma.
If you’re having issues connecting, leave a comment stating your platform and where you’re connecting from, so other Fortnite players are aware of what’s happening. In the meantime, go read up on the latest patch for the game that brought in Scorpion from Mortal Kombat into the game.
Once Epic provides any official updates, we’ll add it to the article, so stay tuned here.
