Fortnite down

It’s almost Halloween, and that means Epic Games is about to unleash the latest Fortnitemares event in Fortnite! Before that happens, the studio needs to take the Fortnite servers down this October 12, During this downtime, players will see patch v31.40 released on all platforms.

Fortnite Down Status for October 12:

The original downtime was supposed to be on Friday, October 11, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Epic had to move it to today.

There is no mention of how long this downtime will last, but we’re betting it will be at least two hours if past maintenance periods are anything to go by.

While the patch notes aren’t live yet, once it is, we’ll provide a link to it. In the meantime, what we do know is the Halloween stuff incoming via the patch for LEGO Fortnite.

Get Scary in Split-Screen!

Trick or treating is always better with a friend by your side! In case you missed it, LEGO Fortnite now supports split-screen on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

Here’s a quick guide on how to access split-screen in LEGO Fortnite:

  1. Start Fortnite and go to the LEGO Fortnite Lobby.
  2. Connect the second controller.
  3. Select the second player’s console account. (Note: Guest and Quick Play console accounts are not supported.)
  4. After picking a console account, Fortnite will automatically ask the player to link their Epic account. (If they link their Epic account, they can access their Locker Outfits, Passes, Quests, and other progress.)
  5. After the second player is logged into Fortnite, they will appear in the Lobby.
  6. Hold onto your bricks… Split-screen mode will automatically begin when you start LEGO Fortnite!
