Fortnite Switch Download Now Live… But There’s a Big Problem

Fortnite Switch Download

Nintendo fans rejoice, for the Fortnite Switch download is now live and ready to play. Containing only the Battle Royale component, Fortnite on Nintendo Switch gives gamers the power to play PvP both at home and on the go.  Check out the trailer below:

Unfortunately, the Fortnite Switch download launch has been surrounded in controversy, with players who have a PS4 account linked to their Epic Games Fortnite account unable to play on Nintendo Switch. We’re still waiting for an update regarding an upcoming fix, or at least a reason for the limitation.

In other Fortnite news, a PUBG vs Fortnite legal battle has begun in Korea, and a summer 2018 target has been set for Fortnite Android.

Blame PlayStation for not letting you use your PS4 account on Switch. PlayStation does not allow cross-progession and cross-play with Xbox, and in this situation it’s the same with the Switch. Your Fortnite PS4 account is a PlayStation exclusive. It also works vice versa, can’t use a Xbox or Switch account on PS4. Epic Games have accidently turned of cross-play with PS4 and Xbox before, but had to get rid of it because of PlayStation, even though Xbox’s Phil Spencer wanted it to stay.

It’s not Epic Game’s fault for PlayStation not allowing cross-play and cross-progression for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Epic Game’s in the past had accidently turned on cross-play with PS4 and Xbox before, but Epic Games had to get rid of it because PlayStation did not allow that even though Xbox’s own Phil Spencer wanted it to stay. This is also the same with Rocket League, Minecraft, and recently Paladins as well.
