It looks like all the rumors are true about even more Xbox games coming to PlayStation, as Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 5 is coming to the PS5 this year!

That’s not the only Forza Horizon 5 news, as the studio also announced an upcoming update that will have new features.

Forza Horizon 5 Acceraltes Onto PlayStation 5 This Springs

Playground Games shared an official blog post announcing that Forza Horizon 5 will be available on the PlayStation 5 later this spring. Panic Button Games, in partnership with original developers, Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games, are spearheading the port. The announcement included a short statement about the team’s excitement and the game’s availability on the PlayStation Store wishlist.

“We are excited to see the Forza Horizon 5 community grow with new players on PS5, and we can’t wait to see the creativity and skill these new creators, builders, and racers will bring to our vibrant community.”

In the same blog post, Playground Games also confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 would be receiving a new content update.

“In addition to bringing Forza Horizon 5 to PS5, we’re working on a special new free content update for all platforms, Horizon Realms. Realms will give players the chance to explore a curated collection of some of the community’s favorite previously released Evolving Worlds, alongside some other surprises. Stay tuned to our channels for more details soon.”

No specific window was given, though we suspect it will likely launch around the time the PS5 version does.

Back in November, Xbox’s head, Phil Spencer, said that there was no “red tape” when it came to what games went to other platforms. Though in the past year, we’ve seen several titles make the jump to PlayStation, the Forza Horizon series would be the first major franchise to make the jump to PlayStation for the very first time.

With this rumor finally coming true, we can probably safely assume that the Halo franchise will make its way to PlayStation a lot sooner than expected.
