Developer miHoyo has announced the next big title update headed to Genshin Impact! Called “Summer Fantasia,” the Genshin Impact upcoming update 2.8 will introduce new locales to explore, new missions and a new character, too, and will be out this July 13!

The height of summer is a wonderful time of the year, and there are always many strange, interesting events taking place. A cursed blade of unknown origin, a mysterious unsolved case, and the familiar but not too familiar islands far at sea… “O seasoned warriors, fear not the depths of despair and death borne from chaos!” “For the Prinzessin, holiest of sovereigns of the kingdom where the night is sacred, will therefore declare the verdict of victory.” And so, everyone followed the path of their destiny, ready to take on unknown encounters and challenges.

• The Golden Apple Archipelago opens again with a massive makeover
• New island areas to explore, fight, and hunt for treasures
• Rich event storylines to bond with Kazuha, Xinyan, Fischl, and Mona
• A chance to redeem Fischl and her new outfit
• Diluc’s outfit available in-store with new idle animation, effects, and backstory
• Shikanoin Heizou, the first melee catalyst user joins the game
• Kazuha’s Story Quest & Heizou’s Hangout Event coming soon
