Genshin Impact Upcoming Update 5.5 Is About to Turn Up the Heat This Month

The next major Genshin Impact update is almost upon us, as miHoYo has announced that update 5.5 is set to arrive on March 26 on all platforms.  There’s a new trailer and details on upcoming Genshin Impact update of what players can expect from the download.

Genshin Impact Update 5.5 “Day of the Flame’s Return” Dated and Detailed

As with any major Genshin Impact update, you can expect new locations, events, characters, and much more, which the studio has also highlighted in the outline below.

  • New Map: The Great Volcano of Tollan stands with a sacred city and a multi-layered map within the volcano’s depths.
  • New Tribe & Saurian: The Collective of Plenty is the final tribe, and it arrives with a new Saurian, the Tatankasaurus, which can charge and smash through gargantuan rocks.
  • New Characters: Varesa, who is a 5-star Electro Catalyst user, excels in Plunging Attacks, while Iansan, who is a 4-star Electro Polearm user, provides attack buffs and healing. Both can dash and perform flying leaps during exploration.
  • Events Wishes:
    • Phase I: Varesa, Iansan, Xianyun
    • Phase II: Xilonen, Venti
  • Seasonal Event: The “Tournament of Glory in Bloom,” featuring Ifa and the rest of the playable Natlan cast, will see the revival of a traditional Natlan competition. Various bonuses are available, including the chance to invite Ororon for free.
  • New Optimizations: Improvements will be added to the boss tracking system and the artifact leveling experience.
