Get a Glimpse At Some Of The Obtainable Gear In Injustice 2’s Latest Trailer

With a little over a month to go until the release of NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming Injustice 2 title, it seems that the Chicago based developer has been hard at work showcasing what fans can expect when the game launches this May. As new videos are being released more frequently.

Today is no different as NetherRealm Studios has once again released a new video for the DCU based fighter take focuses on the gear that you can earn throughout the game. Check out the trailer above.

For those out of the loop on how to obtain character gear, it’s simple. All you have to do is just simply play the game and either win or lose you’ll earn a new piece of gear that has a high chance be for the character you’re currently playing. While these new gear pieces may change your characters outfit, it should also be noted that they can also give characters new abilities or give them small stat bonuses.

Though, for those who wish to turn off any stat-bonuses that gear pieces can give to characters, it’s easy to do so. As NetherRealm will be implementing a “Tournament Mode” where all gear stats bonuses are disabled, making gear pieces just for cosmetic purposes only in that mode.

Additionally, if you happened to pay very close attention to the latest trailer something interesting popped up in the video that confirms a long-standing rumor for the game. Where Captain Cold, one of the recently revealed characters for the game would receive an interesting premium skin.

You can check out the screenshot below to judge for yourself:

As seen on the very last selectable option for available skins, it appears to be an emblem for Mr. Freeze. And if the previous rumor was to be believed which also correctly revealed every character before they were officially revealed, it’s highly likely Mr. Freeze will be available as a premium skin for Captain Cold.

Injustice 2 will be available May 16th for the both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
