While God of War Ragnarok is a single-player only game, that hasn’t stopped Santa Monica Studio from rolling out additional fixes for launch. For those who are buying the game via disc, you’ll be tasked to download the God of War Ragnarok day one update 1.03 (PS5 version 1.003) patch.

Here’s what the pre-launch patch notes houses via Santa Monica Studio (review embargo details):
- Fixed some rare instances where the application would crash.
- Fixed several bugs with some accessibility features.
- Fixed some performance issues.
- Additional tuning, including combat, progression, economy, navigation, camera, and narrative.
- Additional haptics tuning and coverage.
That’s about it. Nothing major, as the game seems to be relatively bug-free.
