GTA Online Launch Detailed, Updates To Be Free And More

With just six more days to go until GTA Online is released to the public free of charge for all Grand Theft Auto V owners, Rockstar has finally let the cat out of the bag and detailed all you need to know about the online service and its launch.

From day one, those enjoying GTA Online will be able to partake in plethora of activities with up to 16 people, including exploring GTA V’s massive open world, going to the movies, mountain biking, venturing into a shooting range and much more. Or, of course, you can also test the law by knocking a convenience store or taking down a rival gang and even robbing an armored truck to gain some reputation and some easy cash in the process.

Speaking of reputation and cash, reputation is simply earned from your devious actions and exploits in GTA Online. In turn, it will help you rank up and provide you with a better arsenal and criminal contacts. As for cash itself, it can be used to purchase property, cars, clothes and weapons.

Thankfully, unlike the single player mode of Grand Theft Auto V, cash is relatively easy to earn in GTA Online, as it is easily done by pulling heists or partaking in profitable activities. GTA Online will also offer a wide array of missions (more then 500, to be exact) and jobs that you can choose to go in a lone or with your fellow crew members and mercenaries. Or, you can choose the very easy way to earn cash by buying “cash cards”, which will offer 100,000 – 1,250,000 cash rewards.

Finally, and probably most importantly, Rockstar has given a quick overview about some of the future updates that you can be sure will be implemented in GTA Online in the upcoming weeks:

  • The Content Creator: The Content Creator will launch with tools to tailor and publish your own Deathmatches & Races.
  • The Beach Bum Pack: Featuring 4 new amazing beach fun vehicles, over 300 new items of incredible down tempo leisure wear and 2 new but not remotely relaxing weapons.
  • Capture the Flag: GTA Online’s take on the classic CTF mode including the ability to make your own using The Content Creator.
  • Heists: This update will introduce full-on cooperative Heist missions that will require careful planning, teamwork and sharp execution – along with the Heist Planning Board for your apartment.

Best of all, these updates will be free of charge, according to Rockstar. The order in which these update will be implemented is subject to change. Additionally, expect news about even more content in the near future.
