GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Pulled From PSN Store for Unlocking Early

GTA The Trilogy

PlayStation owners who pre-ordered the upcoming remastered series of GTA games got a weird surprise, as GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been pulled from the PSN Store for unlocking early — something that Rockstar Games nor Sony intended to happen before the game’s release date.

In a report by GamesRadar, it has been reported that some PlayStation users got their pre-ordered GTA Trilogy games unlocked way ahead of its scheduled release on November 11. This automatically saw the game pulled from the PSN Store as a result — and players can only add the game to their wishlist instead (Update: It’s back up now and you can buy the game).

Earlier today on November 11, it was reported that some players who pre-ordered the game on PS4 and PS5 consoles were seeing their versions of the GTA Trilogy unlock early. The actual remastered trilogy isn’t supposed to go live until later today at 7am PT/10am ET/3pm GMT, but accidentally unlocked early for an unknown reason.

While it’s a temporary setback for PS4 and PS5 users, it’s only a couple of hours away until the game is officially released and everyone can buy it from the PSN Store. The other digital market platforms for Xbox, Nintendo, and PC users remain unaffected, so they can pre-order the game or just wait all the same for it to come out later at 7am PT.
