It appears Guilty Gear fans looking forward to the lovely looking new fighter that is Guilty Gear: Strive will have to wait just a little bit longer, as Arc System Works and Bandai Namco have made the announcement that they have delayed the game from its April release to June — to give the developers time to iron out any existing problems the game has before release.

As a PS5, PS4, PC, and even an Arcade release is planned for the game, the decision to delay wasn’t made lightly and the Guilty Gear: Strive development team expressed this sentiment in a message to the fans sent via press release.

Dear customers,

We have made the tough decision to move the release date of Guilty Gear: Strive (previously planned for April 9, 2021) to June 11, 2021.

Since we have received valuable feedback after the recent open beta test, we would like to make the most of this opportunity to provide the best game possible. We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as the online lobbies and the server’s stability.

We believe it best to use the extra time to improve the game’s quality and provide a better experience to all our players.
