Guilty Gear Strive Season 3 to Have “More Surprising Contents” Than Season 2, Says Arc System Works

guilty gear strive season 3

With Asuka R’s release in Guilty Gear Strive earlier today, this caps off the game’s second season. Of course, if you’ve been keeping tabs on the game (or of MP1st), you’ll know that Guilty Gear Strive Season 3 is in development for the fighting game.

While there’s no known date when Season 3 will start just yet, players can expect “more surprising contents” from it according to Arc System Works.

Here’s what Ken Miyauchi, Producer of Guilty Gear Strive to say about Guilty Gear Strive Season 3 when asked about it in an interview with MP1st.

MP1st: Season 3 is a much-welcomed surprise, though with the news of development just starting (?) we suppose we won’t hear much about it for a while. What is the likelihood we see or hear anything about it later this year?

Miyauchi: I also want to talk a lot about our Season 3 plan, but I can only say that we are planning to make Season 3 to have more surprising contents than Season 2.

One of the surprises in Season 2 was the announcement of Bedman; a character that many believed to be dead. We asked Arc System Works whether they be opposed to resurrecting more “dead” characters, and although they didn’t confirm that we would see more, they did state that if they could make it make sense for a compelling story, they wouldn’t rule it out entirely.

What sort of surprises are you hoping for? Maybe more returning characters? Possible crossover ones? Let us know down in the comments, Be sure to tune in later this week for our full interview with Arc System Works!
