Halo Infinite New Roadmap Revealed, Season 3 Coming March 2023; Local Co-Op Canned

Halo Infinite fans, we’re here to be the bearer of both good and bad news. Today, 343 Industries has revealed the Halo Infinite new roadmap that encompasses what’s coming to players for the rest of 2022, and also confirmation that we’re getting Season 3.

Halo Infinite New Roadmap for Winter Update & Season 3:

While players are indeed getting a new season in March 2023, the wait for new content won’t be that long, as Forge mode (beta) along with two new maps is coming between November 2022 to March 2023.

I admit, that’s kind of vague when it comes to release timings, but at the very least, players do have something to look forward to. But one thing players can stop holding out hope for, is the addition of split-screen/local co-op! In the development update video released by 343 Industries today, the studio confirmed that it is being scrapped!

Per 343’s statement in the video:

We have had to make the difficult decision not to ship campaign split-screen co-op, and take the resources that we would use on that and go after this list and all these other things.

Well, that sucks. But given we have to wait more than half a year just for a new season, this is to be expected, I guess. Once we know more regarding the release timings of the new content/title update, we’ll let our readers know.
