Halo insiders, better check those emails as 343 Industries has begun sending out invites to the Halo Infinite Technical Preview for this weekend.

While Halo Infinite isn’t due to release until this Holiday season, Microsoft and 343 Industries have decided to give some lucky players a taste at the game’s mulitplayer mode during this weekend flight testing. Users who correctly filled out their Halo Insider profile may be in for a surprise, as the studio has begun rolling out flight testing invites.

Furthermore, 343 Industries announced on Twitter today that they would be streaming a first look at the Halo Infinite Technical Preview tomorrow and would detail exactly what players would have access to.

What We Know About Halo Infinite Technical Preview

This weekend will be the first time ever that the public will be able to get their hands on Halo Infinite, and while there are more details to come ahead of the test, 343 Industries did give us a bit of information as to what players can expect.

This technical preview is intentionally focused on these specific areas to help us gather some scale data as we bring these new experiences to Halo for the first time. As we look further ahead, we plan for future flights to expand into more content including traditional PVP Arena and Big Team Battle.

With this and our higher-level feedback goals noted up above, we land on the following specific focal points. With this in mind, the focus areas for our technical preview are:

  • Arena gameplay vs. Bots
  • Arena Maps
  • Academy’s Weapon Drills
  • Menu & Battle Pass UI
  • New Waypoint experiences on web, iOS, and Android

To gather specific feedback on these areas, our first flight will contain the following content and experiences.

That’s all we know for now, and as mentioned, we will be getting a deeper dive during tomorrow’s stream. We’ll be sure to have a round-up of information, so keep an eye out for that!

Any of you lucky enough to get an invite?
