We have gotten the first Helldivers 2 gameplay details giving a more in-depth look at Helldivers 2 loadouts, combat, playstyles, co-op, and more.

Helldivers 2 Loadout, Co-Op, and More Gameplay Details:

Create your loadout:

• You and your squadmates must prepare for a mission by customizing your armor, your weapons, and your stratagems together.
• Stratagems are powerful tools that can be summoned with short button combinations.
• These include calling airstrikes on Hellpods containing bigger, badder weapons to defensive gear and extra supplies.
• Creating your loadout feels like part of the mission prep: changing your weapon to suit not only your appetite for destruction but the mission and enemy types you might encounter.
• There are offensive, defensive, support, and reinforce stratagems.

Different Playstyles:

• In a four-person team, you’ll be able to select a mix of stratagems and weapons that will lead to a unique victory every time.
• Each member of your squad can play according to their own style.
• Charging into fights, sniping from afar, sneaking past encounters.

Co-op Details:

• Friendly fire is on, beware of bullets from fellow Helldivers.
• You can use the reinforce stratagem to invite a new Helldiver to the fighting ground, picking up right where you left off.
• You can grab the guns of your previous corpse.
• Co-operative combat and co-operative objectives.
• Share locations with your team while moving across the map.
• Optional objectives requiring a small detour and more ammunition with teammates.
• Optional objectives carry additional rewards.
