While Treyarch seems to be on the ball when it comes to releasing balance patches for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the same can’t be said for tech fixes or even for promised features. Just a day after the game’s October 12, 2018 release, Treyarch went on record and mentioned that the Black Ops 4 Combat Record will be “online in an update next week.”

If you’ve been playing or keeping tabs on Black Ops 4, you’ll know that this feature hasn’t made its way out to gamers regardless of platform. As expected, the Black Ops 4 community is getting upset with the broken promise, and maybe more so, with Treyarch’s silence about it.
One thread on the official Black Ops 4 subreddit has now ballooned to over 7,000 upvotes, and counting. Some are saying that Treyarch jumped on the battle royale bandwagon with Black Ops 4’s Blackout, which is part of the reason why the Black Ops 4 Combat Record is presently not available. While that might be a stretch, Reddit user taken_the_easy_way reminded everyone that Black Ops 4 had a three-year development cycle, which makes the Combat Record’s omission a whole lot weird since it was present in other Call of Duty games. People have tagged the official Treyarch Reddit accounts, and are asking what’s happening with this featured promised months ago, which the studio has not acknowledged since the first announcement that it was going to be rolled out.

For those not familiar with the Combat Record, it’s a way for players to check other players’ stats; be it their kill/death ratio, win/loss ratio, and more. While it’s a small thing in the grand scheme of things, the community is upset that the game seems to be getting an endless supply of gun camos and character skins for sale every week, but the promised free feature seems to have been completely forgotten.
